Escrow Payments Status Update

Work has begun on a new escrow system which means HireBee and Taskerr will be able to offer percentage-based fees (in addition to fixed fees). This has been the number one requested feature of both themes (even though Taskerr hasn’t even been released).

We’ll initially roll out PayPal Adaptive Payments — the most globally accepted escrow gateway option. Next in line will be an up-and-coming escrow service called, Balanced Payments. Both are powerful solutions that any site owner should consider to maximize their sales.

You’ve been patiently waiting for new features and updates, and we have listened. Our development team has been working hard to deliver an awesome feature-packed release!

Claiming Listings

You can now import or input many listings and flag them as “Claimable”. When the actual business owner finds their listing on your Vantage site, they can “Claim” it. After their payment, and upon your approval, the listing is handed over to them. They can edit, upload images, upload PDFs, modify any custom fields, etc.

We’ve bundled a child theme right along with Vantage. The child theme is the absolute basics but it’s a head start to creating child themes the best way possible. All you have to do is move it from the Vantage directory to the Themes folder, and start modifying.

ClassiPress 3.1.4 = TimThumb Security Patch

Many of you have likely heard about the recent TimThumb security vulnerability and we wanted to address the issue as well. Timthumb is a popular image resizing script that is used in many WordPress themes (including ClassiPress).

Recently a vulnerability was discovered within the script that allows hackers to upload and execute arbitrary PHP code within your TimThumb cache directory. It can potentially hijack your website and bring down your WordPress site.

ClassiPress v3.1.1 is Now Available

ClassiPress 3.1.1 has just been released. This was a minor maintenance release to fix a couple of bugs that slipped through 3.1. All customers should upgrade. Fixed a total of 3 tickets. A breakdown of tickets can be found below.

Fixes

  • fixed issue on theme-comments template where $ was accidentally added to a function
  • fixed issue where spaces in refine search didn’t work correctly
  • fixed error in refine search when selecting a city caused an implode error
