In high demand - the Vantage themed login page
I’m sure you all have been waiting with bated breath, and your patience has been rewarded. I’m here to announce that the first update to Vantage is here.
Vantage 1.0.1 has a bunch of stuff that you’ve been asking for:
Themed Logins
You asked, we listened. Login, Registration, and the rest of the user experience is themed for an immersive experience for your users.
Bundled Child Theme
We’ve bundled a child theme right along with Vantage. The child theme is the absolute basics but it’s a head start to creating child themes the best way possible. All you have to do is move it from the Vantage directory to the Themes folder, and start modifying.
Searching
We fixed a handful of significant issues with search. It is now easier than ever to search listings. Tags and categories are also included in your searches so you’re more likely to find the right business.
HTML Added to Custom Fields
Custom fields now can have safe HTML embedded within them, making it easy to style your fields. You can also insert things like YouTube videos in your listing’s description.
Bugs Squashed
Over 3,500 changes have been made in Vantage 1.0.1, and we’re just getting started. Tons of bugs have been squashed, styling errors fixed, and general improvements added.

Busy on the Next Version
The team is hard at work on Vantage 1.1, our next major feature release for this theme. We will may publish at least one more maintenance release before 1.1 so look for a potential Vantage 1.0.2 sometime in July.

Hey thanks for releasing this. I looked for the changelog but can’t find that or a ‘version history’ (like other themes have) in the docs section. Please clarify where I can find this. Thanks

Awesome work on the themed login/registration etc – very nicely done.
The improvements to search have also made a huge difference.

In the Listing Extras i stil don’t see the prb with unchecking “Feature on Homepage” and “Feature in Category” options by either the ADMIN of the site or owner of the AD????
i write about it in the forum and you guys said you will fix this bug in the v1.1
have you?
I am managing this site for my customer: http://musliminfo.com/ and we are NOT able to uncheck these both “Feature on Homepage” and “Feature in Category” under “Listing Extras”

Happy about the new version, installed – just fine. Thanks to live preview, it appears that ONLY the listings carry over to the new version. Preview isn’t showing all of the pages, etc… that were created. Is this to be expected.. or is it just that it’s preview mode..? If it is to be expected, is there a way for me to import all of the pages and content that I’ve created on the original site…? This is all new to me.. thanks for your assistance.

Very promising directory theme !
Is there any chance that in the next releases to be able to style and position within single-listing.php the custom fields build with Custom Forms, something like that
ID, "mycustomfield", true); ?>instead of grouping all under?Many thanks !

This will happen in 1.1 which should be released within the next eight to ten weeks.
What is the status of the new Payment gateway? http://www.appthemes.com/blog/poll-payment-gateways/ Could you tell me when you expect the new gateway to be implemented?

Our new payments API will be available with the release of Vantage 1.1. You will likely see new gateways made available shortly after that date. Internally, we have created gateways for PayPal, Google Checkout (soon to be Google Wallet) and Stripe. We have had one company express interest in creating a gateway for iDeal.

I dont see where in the “Manage Themes” tab in domain.com/wp-admin/themes.php i update. I uploaded the vantage-1.0.1.zip in the “Install Themes” tab but i get this error when i try to unpack the zip:
“Unpacking the package…
Installing the theme…
Destination folder already exists. /home/databasename/public_html/wp-content/themes/vantage/
Theme install failed.”
What am i doing wrong?
I think you should give much more detailed instructions on how to upgrade beyond “download the new version”. Then what?!? How ’bout a video?

@jaydee, you’ll need to delete Vantage 1.0 before you can upload 1.0.1. In the future Vantage will be a breeze to update (one-click from wp-admin) just like the rest of our themes.

@jaydee, here’s a video tutorial on how to delete a WordPress theme. Hope that helps!
It would also be nice, if you have someting filled in in category description, the theme will display it
