Gesh, I just had a look at his site and he’s even copying our product naming (Professional Edition).

1. The sites load fine for me. Not everyone has a need for tons of classified ads. That’s what makes ClassiPress so great. It can scale from small to large since it’s built on WordPress.

2. Yes, you can have a different permalink structure that includes the post id or category name. In your example, there will never be a case with two duplicate permalinks. WordPress is smart enough to prevent that from happening. Try it yourself. The second post will include a -2 at the end of the url.

3. Yes, the All in one SEO plugin works with CP. CP does have some built in SEO but we recommend using All in one to get the most benefits.

Is Classipress a fork off of another software?

I was reading their change logs and noticed that much of the script seems to be the same as the
Classipress. If it is, you may want to check them out and use the solutions there to add those features to Classipress.

2. Most importantly: None of the sites I’ve seen include as part of the permalink an “add number” or something to distinguish it. Here’s the potential problem:
a. Customer A places ad: 88 Toyota For Sale
b. Customer B places ad: 88 Toyota For Sale

Permalink ends up w/ two different ads for same url

yoursite.com/88-toyota-for-sale

I operate a couple of class ad sites. Some people use the same headline which would end up as being the same permalink url.

What’s the solution? Can you modify the permalink structure to list article id # and have it trail the headline of the url?

3. All in one SEO: is it compatable? Can the plug in be used w/ CP or does it have it’s own equivalent of All in one?

It’s been put into the description of the ad so Google maps has nothing to use to display a correct location.

What is the point of Peter showing a map at all? You have to admit that anyone viewing Peter’s listing and seeing a map will have an expectation that the map shows where the property for sale is?

If the Google map is displaying a location near Hamburg in Germany for a property listed in Portugal, then you I can see many well informed people leaving the site completely.

For this reason his site doesn’t work and is of little value, or no value at all, for someone seriously looking to buy property in Portugal – unless they’re Americans in which case they probably think Portugal is in Germany, so it doesn’t matter
