It’s been a very hectic couple of weeks, AppThemers. But we promised a Vantage release date this week, so this post will be brief. We will have more news on Monday.
Vantage 1.0 will be available on April 27.
JobRoller 1.6 will be available by the end of April.
Clipper 1.3 will be available on April 9.

Sorry. We were polishing up a couple of items. The theme is done and it just needs to be packaged up and added to our membership system. It should be available to everyone on Thursday.
Will JobRoller 1.6 have a “Featured Employers” function? If not, will the next release have it?

1.6 will not have featured employers. It is a consideration for a future release.

We know that featured employers is a popular request. I cannot really give a good estimate on whether it would be released in 2012 or not. I can simply say that JobRoller will be seeing a lot of activity in the coming months.

So where’s new Clipper version 1.3?
Release date stated in your post is 9 April. Today is 11.
Also, what is provided with the new version?
Do we have a gateway system now or something else to make people pay for posting their coupons on the site?
Without that I cannot use Clipper.
Please advise

We do not have a “pay to list” or payment gateway feature in Clipper yet. Not sure when we would add that but we do know that it is in high demand.
Will the next release of job roller include SimplyHired integration? If not, will it be included in the near future?

I too was hoping to see this in 1.3. Guess we still have to wait for it, although it’s really simple and everyone will have the option either to show the code or not.
And speaking of it, some new styles to choose from for the coupon code box would be really nice.
Per Shannon, simplyhired is a plugin for 1.3.
Is this just a mistake or is the plugin now available for the current version of jobroller?

A new category in the area of Browse by to include locations would be just awesome…
I mailed Bruno (developer of Fxtender) and he was considering that for a next release but Any idea if that is going to be a future release of jobroller?

Browse by location might be tough. The location data would need to be pulled from somewhere. We can pull all locations and risk having a huge list. We can pull most popular locations, but that might be tough for job boards that have wide coverage. It’s possible we could have admin defined locations.
On the other hand, would this not essentially be covered by searching location with the radius set to cover desired area? Am I missing your point?

I downloaded the dev edition of vantage and I have to say that it is Extremely disappointing. Users cannot create logins or create listings. I hope this is just a pre-release version of some sort.

I’ve downloaded 1.0 and the same issues persists. New users can’t register (user registration is currently not allowed). The demo seems to be more complete than my download
@ptyson31, it appears that Tyler answer your question in the forums but just in case…
WordPress by default, as a security measure, turns registration off. If you want to allow anyone to register, log into your WordPress Admin Panel, click into Settings > General. Under there you should see a option to allow anyone to register.
